Lori Gleeman is the Founder & CEO of Soul Equity Solutions, a boutique executive search firm specializing in private equity and PE-backed companies.

Lori founded Soul Equity in 2020 with a vision to bring a highly specialized, white-glove approach to executive search in the private equity market. Today, Soul Equity partners with middle market and lower middle market private equity firms, independent sponsors, family offices and their portfolio companies, recruiting across investment teams, business development, investor relations, value creation, human capital, corporate development and senior leadership roles.

With more than 20 years of experience in executive search and talent acquisition, Lori is a trusted resource in the private equity community, known for her extensive network, strong industry relationships and understanding of the PE talent market. She remains closely involved with Soul Equity’s clients, building relationships that go beyond a traditional search engagement. Soul Equity operates as an extension of its clients’ teams, with a strong understanding of each firm’s culture, priorities and hiring needs.

Lori is based in New York City and is an active member of the private equity community. Outside of work, she loves to cook and entertain, travel, snow ski and spend time with her family. She is also mildly obsessed with her Goldendoodle, Summer, who has no idea that Lori has a job.

Alex joins Soul Equity as a Director of Operations & Research from Durham, North Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism. Prior to Soul Equity Solutions, Alex began her recruiting career at a top search firm for digital technology companies. Alex found her love for recruiting after spending several years in retail management and discovering her passion for connecting with people and fostering career development. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her two dogs, eat delicious local food and take care of her rare plant collection.

Julie brings extensive financial services recruitment expertise to Soul Equity Solutions, specializing in identifying top investment talent for private equity firms. Prior to joining Soul Equity, Julie developed sophisticated sourcing strategies and built diverse talent pipelines at prestigious firms including H.I.G. Capital and the D.E. Shaw Group. Throughout her career, she has excelled at identifying and attracting investment professionals across all experience levels, developing innovative approaches to sourcing, and finding those perfect matches between exceptional candidates and client needs. Julie thrives on building relationships and enjoys the human connection that comes from working with both clients and candidates.

Julie holds a degree from MIT and currently bases herself in Milan with her family, while maintaining strong connections to Miami and New York City. What started as a short adventure in Italy has evolved into a more permanent arrangement. While she misses Broadway shows, bagels, and brunches, she embraces all that Italian life has to offer. A loyal Miami Heat fan, Julie enjoys reading, traveling, snowboarding, yoga, and staying active with her children in her spare time.

Kate joins Soul Equity as a Recruiting Director based in Boston. A graduate of Northeastern University with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting, she began her career in private equity before transitioning to executive search. In her free time, Kate loves exploring new neighborhoods, skiing, reading, and discovering great local restaurants.

Alex joins Soul Equity Solutions as a Senior Executive Recruiter from New Rochelle, New York. She is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst and holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mercy University. Prior to joining Soul Equity Solutions, Alex spent five years specializing in executive and administrative recruiting, talent sourcing, and sales. Before shifting into recruiting, Alex worked in higher education admissions, where she led recruitment teams and built relationships with students and educational organizations. Alex found her passion for recruiting through her years of connecting with people, developing talent, and helping individuals navigate important career and educational decisions. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves playing tennis.

Samantha joins Soul Equity Solutions as a Senior Executive Recruiter based in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Psychology and has spent her career in recruiting, where she discovered how much she enjoys connecting with people and helping them navigate the next step in their careers. Outside of work, Samantha loves being outdoors, especially hiking, and enjoys cooking and spending time with her three dogs: a Goldendoodle, a Lab mix, and a Sheepdog mix.

Emma Miller is the Executive Assistant to Lori Gleeman and the Soul Equity Solutions team. Prior to Soul Equity, Emma was the Administrative Manager at Alane Baranello & Associates, a boutique executive search firm, where she honed her administrative skills. She holds a BFA from New York University and is based in New York City. In her free time, she loves biking around the city, performing on the competitive pun comedy circuit, and tackling crossword puzzles.
